Job Description

Summary: The Epic Technical Manager leads the design, implementation and support of the technical architecture for the Epic environment. Provides technical leadership for the Epic infrastructure team including, but not limited to, strategic technical guidance, project management, and optimization for the Epic solution. Ensures the availability and adequate performance for servers, network, storage and all related processes. Also, oversees system security, disaster recovery planning and implementation requirements for the Epic infrastructure. Partners with the Epic and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure efficient functionality and performance.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management level role; ability to demonstrate strong leadership within matrix teams.

  • Expert knowledge of healthcare industry.

  • Expert knowledge of networks, virtual desktop, server operating systems, EMC SAN storage technologies, VMWare Server Virtualization, and overall infrastructure design and architecture.

  • Prior experience implementing Epic Systems preferred.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on-time and on-budget.

  • PMP/ Project Management Certification preferred.

  • Technical Overview of Implementation.
